The extended pantheon does a radio play version of Charles Dickens a Christmas Carol. The script we are using was first used by Orson Welles' The Campbell Playhouse. Yes it name of the show was an advertisement for a brand of very cheap canned soup. Lionel Barrymore starred as Scrooge in that version.

Sorry for the audio problems, especially when scrooge talks, he was at a location with a bad internet connection when we recorded.

In case you are interested, here is some,
Thor's The early years Trivia.

Thor's Hour of Thunder doing a radio version of a christmas Carol dates back to Baldr, Thor, Lawrence of Tasmania, and Officer Tiger's college days.

Thor's Hour of Thunder was a show on the college's radio station where I played rock and roll music, I grabbed the last time slot of the night in the middle of the week, so that I could do whatever tomfoolery I wanted. Baldr and Lawrence and Office Tiger would join me in the studio to banter in between songs. We spent one episode reading aloud (between songs) a memo the radio station had sent out telling us things they wanted people to stop saying on air. many of which seemed directly addressed at our show. Mostly they wanted people to stop spending time on air making fun of the fact that no one listened to our college's radio station. Ahhhh, memories! Anyway, before this paragraph gets any longer, back then we called the over the air theater troop that performed on Thor's Hour of thunder the "Radio Theatrical Kaleidoscope". Which is no goofier a name than Thor's Hour of Thunder, so we might as well stick with these radio play episodes starring the members of the "Radio Theatrical Kaleidoscope". Wow, So many words in this paragraph. It is attack of the 50 sentence paragraph. Okay it is over now. I promise. I lied.

Thank you to Lawrence of Cafeteria for editing this episode, and for creating the photographic illustration of Lionel Barrymore that is this episode's cover art.

May 23, 2012 04:57 PM PDT

Hey folks, Thor here, sorry for the month delay between episodes, Loki used magic to cause myself and Chris Hemsworth to trade bodies and I spend the entire month I was in his body staring at myself in the mirror. Damn that man has fine abs.

Access "Thor's Hour of Thunder CLASSIC" here: http://hourofthunder2.podomatic.com/

End song provided by friend of the show Alan. It is him covering Mark Hamill's cover of "Only You" at the character "The Joker" from the end credits of the video game "Arkham City"

PS I Really want the adaptation of the Hunger Games book "Mocking Jay" to have the end credits music be Carly Simon and James Taylor re-recording their ridiculous cover of the nursery rhyme "Mocking Bird". Just picture it: mock YEAH ing YEAH bird YEAH!. YEAH! (Yeah!)

You only get a certain number of megabytes on podomatic, which is why I have to take down an old episode of Thor's whenever I put a new one up.

Due to popular demand I'm gonna start to slowly put old episodes back up using this new second RSS feed.

This episode was the most popular of the "Lost" Episodes, hence why it is going up first.

Which episode of the old ones do you want me to put back up next? (Check out the episode descriptions which are all still available http://hourofthunder.podomatic.com/ )
write in to HourOfThunder (at) gmail or call 754-444-THOR and let the Pantheon know.

(ORIGINAL EPISODE DESCRIPTION: From Friday April 8th, 2011)

This week we discuss: Burt Reynolds; The Fact that Burt Reynolds has a museum in Jupiter Florida; The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo, The Secret World of Alex Mac; Dom Deluise; Hal Needham; How you can get an official shirt that says "Academy Award Nominee"; King of Kong; Competitive Tetris; Charles Nelson Reilly; Cannonball Run, Smokey and the Bandit, Bret Summers; How to succeed in bussiness without really trying. Daniel Radcliff. Daniel Radcliff's penis: live and in person. Julie Andrews, My Fair Lady, Mary Poppins, Audrey Hepburn. Mad Max. The Road Warrior. Mad Max 3: Beyond Thunderdome. Indiana Jones. Temple of Doom. Raiders of the Lost Ark. Last Crusade.

And more stuff too, but I don't feel like re-listening to the whole thing to remember the rest.
